*North End Elementary School, Roxboro, NC, August 2002 - Present:  School Library Media Specialist:  Duties include instruction of students in grades K-5 about libraries and library skills, promotion of reading and other literacy skills, etc.

*Kathrine R. Everett Law Library, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, September 200-July 2002: Library Assistant.  Duties include interlibrary loan borrowing and lending functions, including use of OCLC software and other online databases; facilitation of faculty delivery service; management of stacks maintenance, including supervision of student workers, monthly maintenance reports and statistics and revision of the shelving guide; and backup support for the circulation desk supervisor.

*D.H. Hill Library, North Carolina State University, April 2000-Present:Library Assistant.  Duties include patron assistance in microforms room, including reference assistance with various online databases and the online catalog; upkeep of various microfiche collections including Eric documents, government documents, and Congressional Information Services collections.  Use of MS Word, MS Excel, DRA-based online catalog.

 

*Booth Library, Eastern Illinois, University, October 1995-March 2000:Library Technical Assistant III (March 2000-April 2000). Duties include interlibrary loan borrowing functions, verification of difficult citations, facilitation of temporary off-campus storage facility, management of student workers, communication with faculty concerning requested items and other projects as assigned, in addition to the duties listed below.  Library Technical Assistant II (October 1995-March 2000).Duties include circulation and reserve desk coverage; interlibrary loan duties including borrowing materials from a number of world-wide libraries; data-entry; lending of items to other libraries; searching several databases, both in-house and online; sending overdue notifications; reporting statistics for copyright compliance; management of student worker activities; and maintenance of the student interlibrary loan manual.
